We did it!

It's true. We tied the knot!
We had the wedding at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. It was beautiful. I will post more pictures and details as I get pictures. This one Robyn sent to me and it's the only one I have right now.

It was a wonderful weekend! Better than could be imagined. Jenn looked like a princess and the boys looked so handsome. The reception was more beautiful then we could have ever imagined and was a lot of fun.

Packing it all up

OMG! We have spent the day packing up stuff upon stuff upon stuff. Thank goodness my mom came over for a few hours and organized us! Who else would have thought about making a master list inventory of all our wedding stuff.

My car is completely full of boxes of candlesticks, vases and candy for the candy bar, mason jars and silk flowers, and more and more... we had to pack our suitcases and put them in my parents car, along with Jenn's dress. There was no room left!

I cannot belive we leave tomorrow for Eureka Springs and that we are getting married in 3 days! I cannot wait to see Robyn & Traci, too! They are driving all the way from Minnesota! It should be a fun, but stressful and crazy weekened!

Another Trip to Eureka Springs

Jenn and I are taking one last trip to Eureka Springs next weekend before the wedding in August. We have several appointments lined up. We are having a cake tasting - we are thinking about doing banana creme, spice or carrot and chocolate with cream cheese filling. Jenn came up with the banana creme idea and I just love it.

We are also meeting with a potential photographer, Melody Purdy and I am really impressed with her website. She does amazing work! We are also meeting with the officiant and the guitarist/singer. On Monday, we drive up to Springfield to meet with our wedding planner, Joyce and she is taking us to meet with a florist and to look at table linens.

It should be a very productive weekend! (and the boys will not be with us - yea!)

Weekend in Eureka Springs

We took an impromtu jaunt to Eureka Springs over the weekend. We stayed at the cutest little cottage and had a nice time. I just love it there and I love going whenever we decide to. The boys were a little randy and didn't want to mind and that was frustrating, but they loved they little cottage we stayed in (they got their own bedroom with bathroom - and TV!) and we had a huge tub that they loved taking a bath in.

We met with our Wedding Coordinator and she is wonderful and we got SO MUCH accomplished. We both feel better, more focused and "on track". Whew!

The boys also got their old time photos taken at Judge Roy Bean's and had a blast with that. They were gansters who robbed a bank and E really got into character. It was hilarious!

Thanksgiving

Jenn and I spent Thanksgiving in Eureka Springs, Arkansas (if you have never been, we HIGHLY recommend it). This was our first stay at the imfamous Crescent Hotel. We had been there before and looked around, but never actually stayed there. It was beautiful. (Jenn prefers the modern updates of a Marriot, but it was wonderful for a place built in 1886).

They had a wonderful Thanksgiving Brunch on Thursday. Our reservation wasn't until 1:45, so we got up that morning, took a little walk (little because it was so cold) and then got some breakfast. We went for a drive out to Beaver Lake and then came back to the room. We (I) watched some of the Ghosthunters (TAPS) Marathon on SciFi and we got ready for brunch.

The food was fabulous! I ate enough sweet potatoes to last me all year long! Jenn enjoyed the champagne and chocolate fountain. Their was lamb, prime rib, ham, turkey, chicken... I was glad we had had a little breakfast, because skipping the eggs, bacon and french toast allowed me more room for the millions of salads, side dishes and meats!

It was odd to not have our family all together, but it was a wonderful break for us and a nice Turkey Day meal. We even met some people from Tulsa that evening, when we went up to Dr. Baker's Lounge for a burger and a drink.

I thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would stay there again.

Fun, fun, fun!

Ok... we had a blast at Diversity Weekend. It was so much fun and we met a lot of really cool people, especially Jeni, Jenn's friend from Ft. Smith. We had some great meals and a massage and we partied at a fun little local bar. There was a lesbian pool party at our motel and we saw a great drag show and then the bears and leather guys did some karaoke. Fun stuff!

Back to Eureka Springs!

Jenn and I are going for our first Diversity Weekend. It is supposed to be really fun. We are staying at a different place and one of Jenn's Arkansas friends is going to drive over for the day on Saturday and hang out with us. We also met a couple from Tuttle who is going to be there and we are going to have dinner and drinks Friday night and breakfast on Sat morning at some place that has biscuits the size of your head! LOL It should be a fun weekend! And best of all... kid free! YAY!
