Update

I have been exercising, icing and elevating my knee now for a week. Jeez. I have taken back up quilting. I had started K a Scooby Doo blanket about a year ago and got so busy I never finished it. I have been working on it some this week. That and being inundated with morning TV.

I am hobbling along on my cane, but it already feels better. Yay! I cannot wait until I can start climbing stairs again and get back into the office.

Knee Surgery

Well, I got my right knee scoped yesterday morning. I think it is really going to help, but right now I am a little loopy and so I may not make a whole bunch of sense! LOL

I went to physical therapy this morning and they took out the drain and said it looked really good. Just three small incisions with stitches. I was moving pretty good, I thought, today, too. I have been using the machine they sent home with me and icing it and doing everything I am supposed to do.

I am tired, though. I think I am going to take a little nap.

Ugh

So I have been having some issues with my knee since the last week of October. I used to have problems, years and years ago, but nothing for a long time. It just started hurting very badly the weekend before Halloween and I eneded up in the ER on that Sunday. They did some x-rays and got me an appointment with a specialist the next Tuesday. I went in and talked to him. He felt I had some arthritis and that most likely I would need to have some orthoscopic surgery to go in and smooth out the cartledge. I went in and had an MRI. I worked from home all week so I could stay off of it and worked all last week and did okay. It was a little sore today and tonight while I was cooking dinner something happened. It did't pop, I didn't hear a sound, but it felt as though a little rubber band snapped inside my knee. That's the only way I can explain it. It is swollen and hurting now. I am glad I have my MRI follow up appointment in the morning. It just sucks.
