Bachelorette

So, Jenn and I watched the Bachelorette last night. Normally, I am not into shows like this, but I sort of watched the Bachelor last season when DeAnna (the current bachelorette) was DUMPED and DUPED by the current bachelor. I was so sad for her, because she seems genuinely nice, kind and looking for love. So, I tuned in to see what kind of men were there for her to pick through.

I really think she did an incredible job at weeding out the guys for that first rose ceremony. It will be interesting to see how they all pan out. She cut 10 guys last night (from 25 to 15).

A group of us have a "fantasy bachelorette" game going. I had 3 bachelors and 2 of mine got cut. All 3 of Jenn's bachelors got a rose! Ugh! She may win!

Massage

I went in for my massage today! I love getting a massage. My back has been killing me and I had her spend the whole hour working on my back and neck. It was like heaven. I cannot believe the difference that it has made. I am in no pain at all now. Jenn had an appointment today, too. She had a good massage.

We also got my garage door fixed. Just so happens, our yard guy also works for an overhead door place. He came over yesterday evening and fixed it! Yay! Now if I can only find my opener.

The TV in our bedroom lost all volume just now. Dang. I am hoping that I am not going to have to replace the TV in there. It's only a couple of years old. My parents gave it to us so it was a freebie! LOL Although I have had my eye on a flatscreen.

Lazy Sunday

We have been watching all the stuff we have been DVR'd all week long. I had about 4 episodes of Ghosthunters. I love that show! I heard the boys playing "ghosthunters" later on in the day. One of them said "Shhhh! I heard a strange tapping!" and then the other said "Let's go find some ghosts!" and they went running off into the back room. Next thing you know, they will be asking for an EMF detector, Infrared Thermal Scanner and a night vision camera! LOL

They were good episodes, too, especially one at a baby store in San Francisco where they caught some voices on tape and I actually got goose bumps hearing it. Freaky! Jenn knows some people here local that are ghost hunters. I think it is very interesting. I have always been intrigued by paranormal activity and research.

Happy Feet

Well, we finally made it to the theater and took the boys and Maggie to see HAPPY FEET and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it. The boys loved all the songs and dancing and were singing and dancing along in the theater. It was so cute!Jenn and I really enjoyed it, too. The cast was great. I was really impressed. We still haven't made it to see FLUSHED AWAY yet, either. I want to do that over Winter Break. We spent the weekend watching Christmas movies on tv. We watched THE GRINCH and CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS and one about Rudolph saving the new year baby. I don't recall the name. It has been fun to watch all the Christmas favorites.

Weekend

Had a very relaxed and lazy weekend. It was cold and rainy. M spent the night Friday. We had red beans and rice (her fave) and then played Clue with her and the boys. We also played Yatzee Jr and then, since they were very good, they made pallets in the living room and got to sleep in there and stay up a little late and watch movies.

I think I fell asleep by 10. I was exhausted. But 6:30, Elcomes and wakes me up, wanting pancakes and bacon! LOL

We didn't do much on Saturday, except some laundry and POGO playing. We did meet some friends for dinner at Ted's Saturday night and it was GREAT! I have always heard about how good the food it, and sort of "snuffed" at it, because Mexican food is pretty much the same around here, but it was truly EXCELLENT!

Sunday, Jenn worked on her board most of the day and we did more laundry. She conned me into making my apple cider pork chops and she made those great potatoes and even the boys ate their dinner!

They colored and drew pictures all evening and we watched NATURE on PBS and then some DiscoveryHome (or whatever that channel is). It totally makes me in a remodelling mood!

Have a lot to do today at work. Have tons of filing! UGH!

TV Junkie Today

I am watching Rosie O on Inside the Actors Studio and listening to my sweet boy sing as he lays in the floor playing with his spiderman and friends. Aww... what a cutie-tootie. The dog is curled up on my tummy, all warm. It's been a nice weekend, but whooo- it got cold! Am going to watch the last half of Erin Brochovitch and then get in bed and watch PBS - British Comedies....

Sick AGAIN!!

Home sick AGAIN today.

Finally starting to feel better, and it's almost 8:30 pm. At least my fever is finally gone. Ugh. I cannot stand to be sick. E and I are watching Whose Line Is It and he is really getting it, it is so cute. He is laughing and giggling. Guess I will get him ready for bed and go to bed early tonight. Will probably be good for us both!
