Elvis

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the King. We celebrated at our house by watching Blue Hawaii.

(I actually have this old record - it was my moms!)

I have a six year old!?!

Yes, it's true. E turned six yesterday. We had his birthday party today after school at the park by the house. He had a pirate party and invited his class. About half of them showed up and it really was a nice time. The kids played outside (turned out to be a beautiful day) and had cupcakes and koolaid. I got to meet several of the friends that E talks about from school and some moms, so that was also nice.

He had a great time and got some fun gifts. Pop showed up for a few minutes to say hi. He was in the city for a meeting. That was pretty cool. We are going to Chick to see my parents, sister and nephew on Sunday.

Another Birthday

Well, another year older! I had a nice day. Jenn got up early and kept the boys from waking me up (until 9:30 am). She had them color cards for me and they came in and gave them to me and a new Dolly Parton CD. They were so cute and so excited.

I took the boys (and the dogs) to my parents. They played outside all day and my dad got them a new toy! A go-cart! It was pretty awesome and they had a blast with it. I was wishing that I was smaller or it was bigger so that I could drive it too!
Jenn came down with M about 4pm and she and the boys rode bikes and the go-cart until it was time for dinner. We went out to eat at an Italian restaurant and then took the kids to see Horton Hears A Who, which was just fabulous. I loved it.

What a day!

We had a crazy day yesterday, but it was a LOT of fun. M came over yesterday morning and hung out and played with E until his swim lesson. Jenn took her with them and K met up with them at the lesson. It was actually half-way decent yesterday early (it has been raining everyday) and so they all stayed at the pool afterward and had fun and E was sliding by himself down the water slides! Yay!

Then, Jenn took them to the mall. Carrie cut her hair and trimmed up the boys hair. They looked so great! They had some lunch in the food court and came by my office to show off their new cuts! So cute! Jenn's is really cute, too. I have to find some time to go get mine cut. I am tired of growing it out. I want it to be short again. (I know, so fickle!)

They went home and the boys took a nap and Jenn did homework and M played on the computer or xbox and then I left the office at 5pm and ran to pick up the cake and meet them at Incredible Pizza for K's 6th birthday party! Woooo-hoooo!

He had a Power Ranger theme. It was pretty cool. Jenn's mom came and K's grandparents and dad and aunt and Sonya and Chuck were there with the kids. It was a good time. E and K were finally tall enough to do the bumper cars. They had so much fun and were ramming into one another and just squealing with delight. It was a sight to see!

We closed it down and took M home and got home around 10pm. They boys got ready for bed, but were still hopped up on go-go balls, so I let them stay up and play some new Gameboy Advance games that K got as gifts. They konked out by 10:30 when I went to tell them to turn them off.

Good times!

What a weekend!

Well, it was a fun and crazy weekend at the old homestead! I got to leave the office at noon (after my stop to the post office) and then we all got in the car and headed for McDonald's, the one with the Play Place. We ate with the kids and let them play for about an hour.

We stopped by Incredible Pizza to put the deposit down on K's birthday party. Then we had to run by 2 different grocery stores so K could pick out his cake (he was supposed to be at his dad's until June 25 and we didn't think we could do it any other time). Then we ran to Newcastle to make a deposit at the bank.

We ran by Hobby Lobby so I could pick up my Limpicka reproduction that I had stretched. It is beautiful.

While we were at Hobby Lobby, they picked out some 'suncatchers' and paints to paint for their dads and granddads. So when we got home, they sat down at the kitchen table and painted. Then M went home, K went to his dad's and E laid down and took a nap. I wanted to take a nap. I was exhausted!

Saturday, we spent most of the morning working on Jenn's algebra. We finished Chpt 2 and took the quiz and then finished all but a few problems on chapter 3. Then we went and got some lunch and ran a few errands and my parents met us back at the house at 4pm and took E with them for the evening.

We finished up the Algebra homework and quiz and then Jenn and I had a CASA fundraiser to help with. We did that from about 5:30 to 9:00 and then were so tired, we left and went to get some dinner and went home to bed! But the fundraiser was great and we raised a lot of money for CASA!

Sunday, we sort of slept in a little bit, then got ready and went to Chickasha for Father's Day lunch at my grandparents. E was there and had been to Sunday School and he was telling me all about Jonah and the Whale! LOL We ended up sticking around most of the afternoon. E and dad took a nap, so Jenn and I went shopping for her some new clothes and K a few birthday presents.

We got back and started a movie with mom called BREACH. But then E woke up and we couldn't really give all our attention to it (and we NEEDED to, to understand it!). Hopefully we can rent it soon.We had some pizza and then K called and wanted to come home, so we left for OKC and picked him up and he hadn't had dinner, so we decided, since it was his birthday, to go to Windsor Lanes and bowl a game and have some food.

The boys had a blast and so did we. It was fun and we will definitely have to take them back for more bowling. Then we came home and had a little cake and opened presents and they watched a cartoon and drew and then went to bed. I went shortly after. I was BEAT!

Whew! What a week!

I have been out of pocket the last few days because of our annual state conference at work. We start on Wednesday, getting everything ready at the conference center. The conference started on Thursday morning and ran until almost 5pm. We then have our awards banquet that we have to get ready for while there is a little social hour going on. The banquet runs from 7-9pm and then we have to clean up afterwards. I was so tired.

Then back at the conference center at 8am on Friday, until 1:30pm, then we had to load up the truck and bring everything back over to the office. But I got out at 3pm, and picked up E from school, so that was great!Soccer practice got cancelled Friday, so we took the kids to see Shrek the Third and they had fun. It was alright, but not as good as the first two (in my opinion).

We had a soccer game at 9am on Saturday morning. The boys played really well and won the game. So far, we are undefeated! WOOT! After the game, we went home and let the boys take a little siesta before E's birthday party. We got to Chuck E. Cheese about 11:45 and got all set up. E's cake was very cool - Darth Vadar!

After the party, we took M home and went home to vegg out! I was so beat. The boys played Xbox and played with E's new toys (lots of Star Wars action figures) and Jenn took a nap. I played Chocolatier on my computer and won! Yay! I never seem to win any of those games and Jenn beats them really fast!

Sunday, we did laundry and cleaned house in the morning and then we had a soccer game at 1:45. The boys played well again and yes, we won! They got their trophies for the season and they were very proud of them. We start t-ball next week, I believe!

We went to Chickasha to see my parents and my sister and nephew, who flew in from Dallas. It was so good to see W! He has gotten so big and was walking everywhere. It was just so cute. He is getting the cutest little ringlet curls in the back of his hair. Just precious! We stayed out there pretty late and didn't get home until close to 10pm, but the boys had a blast. We popped them into the tub and then they were out like lights.

30 April 2007

We had such a nice weekend. The weather was great! I came home from work on Friday and mowed the lawn and finised up trimming the hedges. We had a great chicken fried steak dinner and played a game with the boys before going to bed.

We got up on Saturday and cleaned the house. M came over around 10:30 and played with E and K and then my mom came over about 11:30 and we went to the boys soccer game. They played great and won! Yay!

K went with his granparents for the weekend from the game and we all went downtown to the Arts Festival. It was soooo crowded, but the indian tacos and stawberries napoleon were fabulous! The kids made some fun light switch plates, sun catchers and wands in a kid's area. Jenn and I shared a dippin' dots and then we all went home.

Jenn and I took a nap while mom hung out and watched a movie with M and E and then E went home with her for the night. M went home and Jenn and I worked on her algebra quiz (not well, I sucked) and then got ready and went to see the Oklahoma City Philharmonic with Bebe Neuwirth as the special guest.

She was fabulous!

Yesterday was sort of a lazy morning. It was nice that no little one's woke us up! I got the dogs bathed, the fish tank cleaned, the back yard mowed and picked up E and got dog food. We spent some time playing Lego Star Wars on XBOX. Then I made spaghetti and meatballs and after dinner, E and I watched Star Wars V.We are going to finish watching it tonight. He wants a Star Wars Birthday Party (15 days until he is 5!!)

Go Barbra! It's your birthday!

Yes, today is the Academy Award-winning singer, theatre and film actress, composer, liberal political activist, film producer and director's birthday. She has won Oscars for Best Actress and Best Original Song as well as multiple Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and an honorary Tony Award. Streisand now ranks as the top-selling female artist in U.S. history with 71 million albums sold in the USA alone, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. She is considered one of the most successful female entertainers in modern entertainment history and is the only woman in the top 10 biggest selling music artists in the U.S. I was four when I saw Funny Girl and have been hooked ever since. She is fabulous! Happy Birthday, Barbra!!!

K is 5!!

Well, K is officially five years old. It sucks that we didn't get to celebrate his birthday with him, since it is Father's Day weekend and so he is at his dad's house, but he is having fun.

We are going to make a cake and have a birthday party for him when he comes home on Monday

My baby is gonna be 4!!

Ok... I realize it isn't for a week or so, but I cannot believe that E is going to be 4! How did this happen! I don't think we are going to do a big party or anything, just something fun at my parents house. Mom is getting a spiderman cake and plates and stuff and Shelley is going to be up from Dallas :) It will be cool.

05 April 2006

M is 10!

I cannot believe that M is 10 years old! Wow! She had a great party at INCREDIBLE PIZZA and the boys had a blast too (actually, the moms did too!) There was a great turnout, she got some really cool presents and they had a lot of fun on the bumper cars, bowling, racing on the track and bowling.

The boys and Jenn and I bowled a few games and played miniture golf. What a day!

I had a wonderful birthday and am so happy with my life and my kids. They are wonderful. What a great year!
