Packing it all up

OMG! We have spent the day packing up stuff upon stuff upon stuff. Thank goodness my mom came over for a few hours and organized us! Who else would have thought about making a master list inventory of all our wedding stuff.

My car is completely full of boxes of candlesticks, vases and candy for the candy bar, mason jars and silk flowers, and more and more... we had to pack our suitcases and put them in my parents car, along with Jenn's dress. There was no room left!

I cannot belive we leave tomorrow for Eureka Springs and that we are getting married in 3 days! I cannot wait to see Robyn & Traci, too! They are driving all the way from Minnesota! It should be a fun, but stressful and crazy weekened!

New restaurant

We tried out a new restaurant tonight and I cannot remember the name! It was good, thought. It was Harold's birthday and there were about 20 people there for it. It was so much fun! We finally met his brother that we are always hearing about - LOL. The restaurant is over in that strip mall area on May Avenue, just before Wilshire. I think it is where the Mediterranean place used to be. LOL

Anyway, we had a great time and Jenn's mom came over and stayed with the boys. It was just nice to get out and about without the boys. We had fun!

Back home

We got back home last night, around 7:30 pm. Mom and E suprised us at the airport! It was great. I had missed him so much.

We spent Thursday and Friday sight seeing. We went to the Empire State Building (which I couldn't deal with, too high and I got vertigo). We took a night bus tour on a double decker bus. It went all over Manhattan and over to Brooklyn so we could see the Manhattan skyline from the pier. Very cool. Very beautiful.

We met with Jenzy, Mish, Michelle, Patti, me and Jenn at the Carnegie Deli and had lunch on Thursday. Sammy came with Jenzy and she is a DOLL! The deli was delicious and the portions were GIGANTIC! Jenn and Mish bought a million purses and then we went over to MoMA and it was just FANTASTIC! I loved it. It was amazing to see all that wonderful artwork.

Jenn and I left a little before everyone else and went back to the hotel. I was beat. I fell asleep and Jenn and Patti went to Central Park and went to Strawberry Fields and the Dakota Building.

It was an amazing trip. We went to see Mama Mia on Friday night and it was a terrific show. I think I have Jenn hooked on musicals, now! Yay!

Heat Wave in DC!

OMG! It is hot hot hot in DC! We got in on Friday afternoon, finally made it to our hotel and trekked up to get a late lunch and then to the liquor store and back to the room. Dawn came in early Saturday morning. I had meetings and she and Jenn went to get breakfast. Misch and Michelle came over to the hotel around noon. We all went and got some chow around 12:30 and then went to the Holocaust Museum. Saturday night we did a moonlight trolly tour of DC monuments and it was so much fun!

Mish and Michelle went to back to NYC on Sunday morning. Dawn had to leave to go back home, too. Sharn got there in time to see Dawn for a bit before she left and she and Jenn hung out and then we all went and got a late lunch and then got to meet Bill, Austin and Jack.

Patti was supposed to get in very late on Sunday, but ended up in horrible delays and didn't get to DC until Monday evening. I went to meetings on Monday and Jenn went to the Nat'l Archives and the White House. We took Patti over to the Lincoln Memorial Monday night and also saw the Korean Memorial, as well.

We got up early today (Tuesday) and caught the Bolt bus to NYC. It is really nice. It has wifi and that is how I am posting now. It is comfortable and roomy and I have had a nap. Can't beat that. It is way better than the tiny airplanes we took to get out here.

I will post about NYC when I have time!

I have a six year old!?!

Yes, it's true. E turned six yesterday. We had his birthday party today after school at the park by the house. He had a pirate party and invited his class. About half of them showed up and it really was a nice time. The kids played outside (turned out to be a beautiful day) and had cupcakes and koolaid. I got to meet several of the friends that E talks about from school and some moms, so that was also nice.

He had a great time and got some fun gifts. Pop showed up for a few minutes to say hi. He was in the city for a meeting. That was pretty cool. We are going to Chick to see my parents, sister and nephew on Sunday.

Halloween

The boys had a blast on Halloween. They were Jedi Knights (from Star Wars) and looked pretty good. For some reason, their light sabres were not lighting up properly, but really, it was good not to have them flinging swords around!

The Friday before, we went to a Halloween Carnival at the Oklahoma State University - OKC Horticulture Building. It was really awesome. They had tons of games for the kids to play, like pin the tail on the cat, a cookie walk, bean bag toss, et cetera. They also had a little haunted house that the kids liked. The Bourland's and their 7 little ones came with us and all the kids had a great time!

Halloween night, the Hazlett's were in town (from St. Paul, MN) and we were SOOO glad to get to spend time with them and go Trick or Treating with them. It was a lot of fun. We headed over to the Gatewood Neighborhood (which was crazy packed with people) and trapsed up and down a few blocks. Jenn and I googled at all the homes we liked and wished that sometime we could live in the neighborhood.

It was a very fun Halloween!

Super Bowl

We had such a fun time with our friends last night during the Super Bowl. We ate a huge amount of food, laughed and talked and I am not sure that I watched any of the game! I watched most of the commercials and the half-time entertainment, but the ball game just didn't interest me.

I am sort of glad that the Colts won, though. What I do remember is that they played pretty good.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas at our house. Jenn's mom spent Christmas Eve with us and she and the boys put out reindeer food and cookies and soy milk for Santa. We had a little "suprise" when looking at the fireplace, as there was a squirrel in there and Jenn screamed and ran! LOL

We went to my parents Christmas day and had fun, then K went to his dad's and we went to Sonya and Chuck's house for dinner. It was just a very nice weekend.

Office Party

Well, our office party is today at noon. We all brought food to eat and gifts to exchange. We did a 'secret santa'. No one is feeling like working today! We all have next week off (paid - yay)! I am so glad. I know I just took vacation a few weeks ago, but I got spoiled being home with Jenn and the boys and miss it already!

It would be nice to figure out how to work from home. I wish that were a possibility. I just don't know what I would do?! I have thought about it and thought about it, but I just cannot come up with any kind of business that I could start. I really don't even mind if I could find a part time job somewhere, as long as it paid as much as I am making now.

On top of all that, I called my friend who is a contractor to come over to the house next week sometime to see about giving us an estimate on the things we need fixed/changed. I am looking forward to that!

Good Friends

We had such a great weekend and Sunday, we had some friends and their kids come over. Our friends Robyn and Traci and their girls Lauren and Jessica came in from Minnesota. It was a lot of fun and SO good to see everyone, especially Rob and Trac. I have missed them a lot. The kids had a blast playing (their kids are 17 & 16) and Joni and Odessa's kids are 3,6 and 6 and so E and K had fun with them. We really need to get together more often!

Thanksgiving

What a day! E and I got up and went to Chickasha to see the family. Jenn and K went to her mom's and then met up with us in Chickasha. The boys had a blast playing with all the cousins and it was so crazy to have so many kids around! It's been a long time! Cousin W was just as CUTE as ever and has grown so much. I couldn't believe it!

We left about dark, drove through the Festival of Light and then headed back to OKC to have dinner with all of Jenn's friends. It was so good and the kids had fun playing while we had fun playing Trivial Pursuit 90's edition. Jenn and I were neck and neck, but she answered the final question first. She ALWAYS wins!!!

We came back home, got the kids to bed and Jenn got up at 5:30 so she could meet Amanda and Sonya at Toys R Us at 6am! But she got some incredible buys and all the kids on our list have gifts bought for them. Yay! The boys have been bouncing off the walls all morning! LOL So much for trying to get a cat nap!

M is 10!

I cannot believe that M is 10 years old! Wow! She had a great party at INCREDIBLE PIZZA and the boys had a blast too (actually, the moms did too!) There was a great turnout, she got some really cool presents and they had a lot of fun on the bumper cars, bowling, racing on the track and bowling.

The boys and Jenn and I bowled a few games and played miniture golf. What a day!

Cat Napper

She is napping next to me and I can't help to just watch her ... breathing softly ... wanting to kiss my way over her shoulders and back... her neck and around her ears... just looking at her turns me on and all I want to do is give her anything and everything...We had so much fun last night at Alibi's with Nina, Santina, Amy, Kathy, Linda, and Kathy.... it was a blast and I drank so much... I haven't been so drunk since probably more than 5 years ago! We laughed and laughed and it was just such fun. I feel so blessed to have met so many wonderful friends and the love of my life and be able to spend time with them all.... I think I will go snuggle up next to her. I can't help myself....
