Basketball

Yay! It is almost 5:00 pm and I can leave the office! When I get home, I am going to get the boys and take them to the park to play some basketball. E has been asking me for a few days to take him to play ball. I am so glad that he is interested in basketball. I just love it and was never really good at it, myself. He seems to be more into it than he was t-ball. K too. K is really good. He can make baskets and dribbles a bit better than E does. It should be a fun time!

FRIDAY!

Yay! It is friday! I am so glad. It has been a LONG ASS WEEK! With so many little fires to be put out at work recently, I am just very excited to have the next couple of days off, in fact, it's three, because we have President's Day off!

I have new towel bars, hooks and a toilet paper holder to put on, in the full bath this weekend. I also have blinds to put up in the sun room. I hope that it isn't going to take me all day. I am planning on coming to my office on Sunday or Monday and painting it. Whoopppeee... I am excited about having it another color (instead of this drab, dirty, flat blue) but I really dread painting it.

E has bball practice tonight and a game tomorrow morning at 9:45! ugh. but at least it will be over with early. There is a Chinese New Year Festival out at the gold dome on 23rd and Classen that stars at 10, so I was thinking we might check that out (if it is warmer than the 12F with icy winds that we are having right now).

So, yet another busy weekend, and I have to get some rest, too. I am beat.

KIDS!!

Had a fun day. The boys have been bouncing off the walls all day. Literally. I think I have had to put them in time out a million times for jumping on the sofa and off the top of their bunk bed! Whoa! I would get them a trampoline if I wasn't afraid they would kill themselves! With it being so cold outside, they don't want to bundle up to go play, but I want them to have coats on!

They watched Curious George today and then took a good nap... revived them for another go-round of couch jumping! *tearing hair out*
I love 'em, but sometimes I wish they would sit quietly and color longer!

Pending Elections

Ok... I am almost a-twitter with pre-election anxiety! Ugh! I cannot wait for Tuesday night to be over so that the returns are in and we have some results and this maddness can be over!

I am starting to worry about the Dems lack of urgency and hoping that they (we) can muster enough spirit to make it to the polls. I fear that we won't 'go in droves' as we have been led to believe and all the faith in our party will just be futile.

I don't, however, believe that most of the Dems really deserve our vote. They don't seem to have any type of message or plan, other than they are a change from the Repubs. But what does that get us?

I am very dissolutioned with both parties and wish that were were more like the UK or AU or Europe... with multiple parties. Yes, we have more than 2, but nothing substantial. It is time for our party system to change.

With that... I await tomorrow night.

Day Off!

Yesterday was a terrific day off! Camille brought Charlie and Aly over in the morning to play with Eli. The repair guy came and showed me how to fix the heater! Yay! The kids all played and had lunch and then after school, I picked up M too.

Had a nice evening last night. M spent the night with the boys. It was cold out, so I made red beans n' rice and after dinner, we played Yatzee Jr. and then Clue. It was a lot of fun. Then the kids begged to sleep in the living room, so we made a big pallet on the floor for them and let them watch a movie.

I got up today and cooked pancakes and bacon and the kids played for awhile before I had to take M back home. Now the boys are napping and Jenn and I are playing Pogo and talking. What a nice, lazy day!

New Year!

I had the most glorious New Year's Eve this year! Yes, I was with my girl! Yes, we had a wonderful dinner and saw friends and drank and danced at Partner's and yes, we kissed (and kissed and kissed and kissed) at midnight. And when she tried to go to another bar, I just whispered to her to "take me to bed" and she did a 180 and we went home.... *grins*

We 'celebrated' into the morning and then exhausted... we went to breakfast and back to bed for more of a celebration!I am so in love with her ... I hope every New Year begins with her.

16 November 2005

Was a quiet day at the office today. Everyone was out helping Oklahoma County get ready for their fundraiser. Emailed back and forth with the moms group and had fun emailing with Jennifer.

Kathy, Linda and I had lunch at Irma's. It was excellent and I always enjoy the eye-candy waitresses.... Linda - you have great waitresses *wink* AND I got to see the ultrasound pictures from yesterday! They were adorable! Baby girl... :) It's making my clock tick! LOLI

FINALLY got my drivers license renewed today! Only 16 days late! Then I went to the mall (gag) and got M and E both a Christmas gift. I found a great neon clock for M's room. She will love it. And I got E a gumball machine because he is always stealing his sisters gum in her gumball machine. I also got them some bottle caps for their stockings. Yummy.

I found a coat FINALLY too! LOL Now that it is actually cold, I remembered. I found several things at Lane Bryant. My mom called when I was there and said she got a $50 gift card from there in the mail today - if you spend $150... which is how much the coat is. So I am had them hold it so I can come home and see if I got a gift card too or if I have to get it from her. They actually had some cool stuff for fall. I found a great grey sweater... I will probably go spend TOO much tomorrow when I go back for the coat, but I never buy myself clothes.

I meant to get E some long sleeve shirts, but I forgot to go to the kids stores. I so hate shopping. I might get online and see what I can get mailed to us. LOL

M is gone tonight. E is watching FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, so I am catching up on my much missed time on my laptop. I have missed laying in bed on the computer this last week. My mom always asks how we can be on the computer so much, but I love it. I always find stuff to do. Listen to LAUNCHCAST and play games.... email, chat, look at internet porn... or not.... lol

I am ready for the weekend. Tomorrow night some of us are going to speak to OU's GLBT & Friends group and then I think I am going to take M to see HP: GOBLET OF FIRE on Friday and then Sat is the Mom's Potluck and that will be so fun! I am thinking about going to the Family Pride meeting on Sunday... we'll see. I still haven't heard if it is going to be this Sunday or not. 'til later..........

My Day...

Gave Keli no mercy today at the office.... lol.... geez, I love makin' her life hell. Definately made the day go along faster. We worked on a grant for a volunteer drive and talked about helping Oklahoma County CASA with their reindeer painting. I think we are going to try to do 10 for them. (The auction off these 3 foot wooden reindeer that are painted.) They have a lot this year, and not many people to paint them. Fun fun fun!

Joshua has been gone to a Leadership Conference in New Mexico this week. There were meetings all day (thank goodness I didn't have to sit in on any) and I worked on some of the stuff for my Nov. 7 meeting.

Picked up kids, ate at Mickey D's... M is riding her bike with some of the neighborhood kids and E is playing games on the computer. I guess I should holler at M to come home, it's starting to get dark out. Chloe is barking everytime they ride by. Nevermind... yay! She came home on her own!! That's a first!

Let's see... what else? Not much. Reconciling bank accounts, laundry, a bunch of mundane things. I bought a bunch of movies to download (rent) and can't wait to see Kill Bill Vol.1 and 2

That's all folks!
